I am not the biggest M(I need attention)C fan - but the girl can sing. She has good people making her music and its best on Blu Ray. The price is quite reasonable too.
for some unknown reason, my $500 Oppo blue ray player brought from amazon cannot read this particular disc, i have it replaced, but the second one also freeze on the same spot. however, the oppo play many other disc with no problem
her voice is not what it used to be and it shows during the vision of love performance but i really enjoyed seeing all the great costumes and her wonderful performances. she has great curves.
her past tours seem very boring and dull compared to this. this one has more glamor and the most artistic thing she has done.
out of all the concert tours she has done in the past, i consider this her best. her body looks amazing.
i love all the outfits she had worn. the one where she wears a black cape, bra, and black shorts was very sexy.
the dresses that she wore are so beautiful. i particularly thought lovers and haters segment was interesting and funny to watch.
This is the 1st BR Concert I picked upI replaced the SD of The Adventures of MimiNot sure if that was a good idea lol The Concert it Self was High Production Values Mariah when she wants 2 can Sing Great. The PQ is Close to Perfect But, then u get to the audio which is a Mess PCM 2.0 & PCM 5.1 Which takes away close to all of the show Which is Sad 'Cause the BR has so MUCH good stuff The Song Selection is like a Greatest hits Package But, you can't enjoy it with the Audio sucking the way it doesI'm not sure if I can even Recommend this BRUnless u are gonna Listen to it through your TV The Look of the Concert is 9/10 The Audio is 5/10 Overall 6/10
Presented in their street clothes, Boyz II Men have a down-to-earth vibe combined with class, distinction and elegance that just wows the crowds. The stage, production, music, dancers, and themes were excellent but the true sensation was Mariah Carey. Highlights definitely classic and memorable would be "One Sweet Day" with Boyz II Men as this brings a much charismatic melody with spiritual references at times, meaningful themes, and excellent singing by Mariah and Boyz II Men. The enhanced disc works on Apple Computers fabulously.
She does 3 numbers in total --on this smaller stage with a boxing type gear vibe along the much hyped dancers. It also has a funny section titled Lovers And Haters plus a sneak peak at her dog, Jack. The behind-the-scenes has Mariah discussing her participation on the stage look, how she and her dancers got along, and clips on some of the numbers with comments. On the first disc there is a menu to choose from the play concert button, to the bonus section with behind-the-scenes and Jukebox to play your favorite numbers in the particular order you prefer. As Mariah Carey has performed on numerous occasions with her classic hits, this concert not only has the classic songs but also the favorite hits from her much loved album The Emancipation of Mimi - Platinum Edition.
Favorites to enjoy for hip-hop fans are the show stopping, "Heartbreaker", both the Jay-Z version and the DaBrat/Missy Version, "Fantasy", "Honey", "Shake It Off", and "It's Like That". The featured artists with hip-hop create much bounce, claps, and the DJ interludes definitely encourage the feelings of wanting to dance, shake, or feel uplifted. "Hero" had fans crying, girls holding one another, and much emotion -definitely a classic song that touches many. Also on this section is Randy Jackson explaining the work that went into the production, the dancers talking for a bit on their tour bus, and the back-up singers giving a brief hi--including Trey Lorenz. On that similar trend of spirituality, there is "Vision Of Love" "Hero" and "Fly Like A Bird" thus giving depth, much positive "pass along to others" messages, and a striking chorus with love to share and Mariah to take you there.
Throughout the entire concert Trey was singing background vocals and when he sang the duet with Mariah it was apparent their chemistry is strong. This exclusive 3 disc set has the Adventures of Mimi Tour, documentary, and interactive disc making it a complete package to enjoy for decades and decades. My favorite number is definitely the part she changes stage [as she is escorted] as the rap takes effect and the crowds cheer loudly --It's the song "Fantasy" with ODB on the video screen. The idea of having another stage was presented to have her other fans get to see her up-close--unlike other tours she has done.
The documentary on disc 2 takes a look at the numbers she chose and why, introduces the dancers with descriptions and visuals, and expresses the entire themes of the tour with producers, important players and more. The bonus includes a Karaoke portion where you can sing with Mariah or without and also has the words on the screen if you choose them. This was a fabulous concert tour cherish-able for decades, classic, and free of shock or suggestive behavior.
On all kinds of styles of songs ranging from mid-tempo, up-tempo to ballads she manages to sing on an array of pitch levels that definitely prove she is extremely talented, gifted, and sensational. Mariah, is about being classy, adventurous, but never loosing your soul, spirituality, mystery, or creating a bad role model for kids, teens, young adults or more specifically, her whole world wide fan base. Another classic moment is the song, "I'll Be There" with Trey Lorenz.
It was a much memorable number definitely comparable to many others. The Interactive Disc [disc 3] requires an Internet Connection and has a direct access to her website, providing video previews, links to buy her music, and many extras like wallpaper, ring-tones, and free virtual ticket subscription. She cares to deliver her best and it shows.
